US Youth Soccer regional Showcase

This past weekend RUSA had 2 teams (2004 Girls & 2006 Girls) competing in one of the premier showcase tournaments in the country. The event featured 166 15U-19U Girls teams from top clubs across the East region and beyond at Tuckahoe Turf Farms in Hammonton, NJ. Teams from five of the 13 USYS National League Conferences were in attendance, including teams from the New England Conference, North Atlantic Conference, Mid Atlantic Conference, South Atlantic Conference, and Great Lakes Conference. Dozens of college coaches were in attendance looking to fill their rosters with talented players.

The 2004 Girls team had a strong showing in the USYS Regional Showcase. Three good performances ending with a tie against the team that finished top of the bracket. The 2004 Girls will play again this Friday at home in the second round of state cup.

The 2006 Girls team had a great weekend as well. They finished top of their bracket in the top flight of the USYS Regional Showcase. Finishing the weekend with a 4-0 win over the #1 team in NYW and a 2-0 win against the #1 team in Connecticut. The 2006 girls are back at it on Wednesday night. They will kickoff the second round of state cup at South Delsea Park at 7:00pm.
